I have the stainless Fibermark.  If they still made this one, I know many people that would have one, or in some instances, another one.

KLEINGUENTHER FIREARMS CO.
This was a custom rifle manufacturer located in Seguin, TX until 2001. The original KDF Co. was started by Mr. Robert Kleinguenther and sold in the early 1980s. Mr. Kleinguenther then started a new company called Kleinguenther Firearms Co.  Their rifles were guaranteed to shoot 1 inch groups and had bolts that slid in the action like a Sauer, or like a hot knife through butter.  Very smooth.

Rifles / Re: Sub MOA vs standard

standard rifles do shoot well, but they won't come with a factory "sub MOA" guarantee.  Most people can't shoot as well as the difference between the two in hunting situations.  You may be an exception to that fact, but I'm not.  I shoot well, but the difference between a sub moa and a standard is minimal.

Waterfowl / Majestic End to a Perfect Season
« on: January 18, 2009, 07:55:42 PM »
I say this because any season I am able to go hunting is a perfect season.  Shot more ducks this season than last season, but it's been awfully slow for the last several years in the marsh below St. Mary Parish.  God bless ! !

Fibermark and Accumark has the same texture.  Different colors, but either way, same texture.  I don't have a problem with the texture and it does not slip, nor is it difficult, but I use leather palmed gloves.  Hunted in single digit temps in West Virginia and had no problems at all.  I like the fibermark contour, but my next rifle will either be a Ultra Lightweight or Accumark 243.  Different styles, but I like them both.

Now for practical advice:

Fibermark around 1000.00, accurate and lighter weight, all black
Accumark around 1300.00, more accurate and little heavier, stainless fluted barrel (a bit shiny)

I've been having my Mark V Fibermark Stainless for two years.  To this day, I can't find anything wrong cosmetically or otherwise with it.  I should have gotten the 243 and a 7 mag when I had the chance, but didn't realize that the end of it's production was so near, and didn't have unlimited cash flow either.  This rifle is the best rifle that I've owned from Sauer to Sako and Ruger to Remington.  Hands down the best one ! ! ! !

Make it again and I'll get more, so here's my vote.

I like the Fibermark.  Synthetic Stainless Mark V just looks like a cheap Ramline stock.  Don't care for it much.
