Zonie.......thanks for the come back, I guess I am going to have to save a few more pennies, I like the extra zip the Weatherby calibres have, I am bringing my 257 Mag moose hunting this year and if all goes well will return for years to come, it would be nice to up size the calibre to the 7MM Weatherby Mag but if it is not in the budget the 7MM Remi will do

Anyone know why the Vanguard does not come in 270 or 7MM Weatherby Mag? I would like to purchase one of these two calibres for my next rifle without the extra expense of the Mark V

I am thinking of purchasing a SA-08 Waterfowler 12 gauge this fall, my son bought a SA-08 20 gauge last fall for bunny and pheasant hunting and absolutely loves it

Thanks for the replies and I agree for the most part........here in southern Ontario Weatherby is not a common rifle/shotgun around hunt camp due to lack of marketing our way, I purchased my Vanguard 257 Mag due to alot of research and ballistic comparisons on the websites. I tell everyone that asks how much I love my Weatherby........word of mouth is a great marketing tool also.........probably the best

I watch "wild tv" religiously and to date have not seen Weatherby as a sponsor of any of the hunting shows? With such a superior product both gun and cartridge why?

I am from Ontario Canada and purchased a Vanguard 257 Mag last fall and absolutely love it........I shot a nice doe at my hunt camp on it's first outting and pretty much dropped her in her tracks, that being said I have been invited to hunt Moose this coming fall.........I have 120 grain Nosler Partitions will they do the trick on Canadian Moose?
