Hi Roger
MY dads tradition that I carried on is eating fryed oysters on Christmas Eve.Dont Know how that started but Im happy to keep it going just give them A scrambled egg bath roll them in cracker crumbs and fry. On A nother note went by Willams gun site yesterday They had 2 used Weatherby Accumark stocks 1 left and the other right handed. made by HS Percision for 75 bucks each. Are the any good? im not sure what contour they are. They didnt look as smooth as the bell & carlson. And if anybody cares they had A Pre 64 Win. Model 70 in 257 roberts for $890 1946 to be exact A little ruff though. Merry Christmas

Not for me either. The 338-06 is A great cartridge. but it seems to be one of those Nitch cartridges that is perfect for certin jobs at 200 yards or less. But not enough to make me put on the wish list.

Thanks Jim
I have all those componets so I will give it A try. I have A 26" Barrel so maybe I will back it down A grain or 2 To start. But that seems plenty fast. Just for your FYI the load I mentioned was the most accurate load tested in the book. But I have only shot my 340 to get the scope on. No group testing yet. But looking forwad to comparing the two loads.

Jim What load do you use for your 225 Accubonds. I have only loaded IMR 7828 with 87.5 grs. @ A published 2942 from Nosler # 5 / I think I will be able to use A chronograph after Christmas. lol

Hi Chip
Sorry about the loss of your knife. after A while you sort of get attached to them. I have used the same Buck 105 Pathfinder for 25 years. It is standard eqpt. on my belt for anything woods related and of course made in the USA with A bible verse with every knife cant go wrong there. I bought my twinn boys Buck knifes to for there 1st hunting season. and for Christmas ordered them the Buck Gut hooks and Bone saws. Of course 2 of every thing. But On A Bitter note the Bone saws wich are realy wood saws are made in china. Whoed A thunk it. But im anal that way Have A buck knife you need buck everything else. I like having A fixed blade just in case you need it fast.
Good luck in your search.im sure you will end up with what suits you.
