Send the scope in and have it checked.  Then take a look at the EGW pic rail and Burris XTR Signature rings.  By far the most solid set up I have seen. The rings come with an assortment of hard plastic inserts that lets you set the scope from -20 to +20 MOA and leaves no marks on your scope if you decide to sell it.  I am in the process of switching all my guns to this set up.  Pic rail is bedded to the gun,  rings stay on the scope.  Scopes can be moved from gun to gun and the rings never have to come off.

I've found the Bergers tend to be accurate with good load work-up.   For deer size and smaller thin skinned game I don't have a problem with Bergers or some of the other thin jacketed non bonded cup and core bullets, and while if hit center mass heart/lung area any of these can make spectacular one shot kills even on larger animals,  BUT and this is a big BUT,  a bad  hit especially a large animal any of these bullets can and do come apart,  that's what Bergers are made to do come apart.  If that's what you need then it's a good thing,  if that's what you don't need that's a bad thing.  I flat won't use them on elk or larger I want a bullet to drive deep braking everything in it's path.  A point could be made given enough bullet weight any bullet can work just  look at pure lead muzzle loader bullets they can drive deep and do a lot of damage, same could be said using a 300 /350 grain thinner jacketed pure lead core bullet in a 458 win mag it will definitely drop any elk at closer ranges that's just the nature of this type of bullet,  big, heavy weight  and ballistically challenged.  Small dia  lightweight super velocity cup and core bullets tends to stress bullet design,  that's just a plain fact.

Different stokes for different folks.  I rarely get a shot opportunity of less than 300 yds and wouldn't use my .257 for elk when I have a 300 in the safe.  That being said I have been in a lot more tracking situations with bullets like the ttsx than with bergers.

115's in my .257, 140's in my 6.5-300, and 215's in my 300 wby.  Can't wait to try the 155's Bergers in the 6.5.  Dozens of animals taken, no tracking involved.  Currently using eldx's in the 6.5 because they are almost unbelievably accurate out of this factory rifle.

Sub moa at 3400+ fps.  I've bang flops with all Bergers.

Your better off with the 115g Berger in the .257 Roy.  Better BC.

Feeling a little bit better about how the Cowboys and JJ handled the kneeling situation Sunday. No Cowboy kneeled during the Anthem. All Cowboys kneeled before the Anthem showing the team solidarity. All stood for the Anthem

I still believe that anytime during a FB game is not the time to take your fight about something, political or personal,There are plenty of other times and places to do so.

I don't see it that way.  Jerry Jones tried to play both sides of the fence.  This arms linked together crap is BS.  Stand at attention with you hand over your heart. Period. Just because you have the "right" to do certain things under our 1st amendment doesn't mean you should.....

My 6.5 Accumark hates the Lrx's......1.5" at 100.
Without much work I have the 140 VLds under an inch and the 143 Hornady Eld-x in the .3's at 3425 fps.
BEST out of the box gun I own.
what powder are you using with those two bullets ?
Retumbo

Im using the 143g ELD-x in my 6.5 Weatherby.  Did some testing on a whitetail doe.  150yd shot, muzzle velocity 3410, impact velocity 3175 fps. Instant death.....looked like she was hit with an rpg.  Shot her in the neck so there was no meat loss. No bone was hit.  The bullet removed flesh and fur the size of a volley ball.  Im going to put one behind the shoulders of a mature buck this week.  I will post the results....

Strange the Vlds performed the way they did in the test.  My experience has shown extreme fragmentation in the 300-600 yard ranges. I have never recovered any Vlds that looked like the ones shown.  Usually 50ish% weight retention and a massive wound channel, golfball to baseball size exit and an animal DRT. These are 210 Vlds out of a 300Wby at 3000fps and 115 Vlds out of a .257Wby at 3510fps.

Hopefully this will improve the quality of Cabelas branded gear.....in my opinion it has become the wallmart of the sporting goods world.

I was in the same boat with my 6.5.  It was hard to decide between the Swaro X5 and the Nightforce Atacr.  I ended up going with the nightforce 5-25x56 enhanced version.  No complaints, its a little on the heavy side but its built like a tank.
