280 rem. Accumark value ?

http://[imgalt+phttp://I have a Weatherby accumark in .280 rem., they were produced from 1998-2004. The gun is just as l bought it new. I reloaded for it and when new l worked out a very accurate load for it. Purchased 100 nickel brass cases that l just loaded for the second time. I am almost 70 years old and do not hunt much anymore. The gun has 1 piece Talley mounts with a Vortex Viper 2.5-10x44 ballistic reticle scope on it. I am considering selling. Can someone give me an idea what it is worth with or without scope. It is a very accurate cartridge and l personally took 8 bucks with it in my younger years. 1 at 350 yards. Keep in mind, the gun looks brand new. Thank you in advance.

is it an accumark or the ultra lightweight model?

From time to time you will find the ULW models online seem to sit or run out of gas around the 1500 mark - i've not seen an accumark in sometime that I can recall. I realize barely used and good condition and the reality is a great cartridge. That model and cartrige in todays world doesn't appear to have much demand which is the only consideration. Heavy rifles isn't the direction it's going and it's not a collector. That's just my observations - I spent sometime gathering a mark v 280 for the wife just about to complete the project. Bought an all stainless model with an ugly black stock - sold it put her a nice "pink" B&C and finally found the SS glass i'm going to mount on it. But all were purchased accordingly knowing i was making it something i'll never get the money out of. But the wife will have an accurate rifle in a pretty pink stock - cuz she gets what she wants! LOL

I said all that to say i'm a huge fan of the 280's - you have something that's fairly rare which usually means those that want them already have them and scenarios like yours are when they hit the market. You'll have to expose it on a website - just my 2cents good luck with it.

It is a accumark, not the lightweight

Welcome to the Nation. Posting pictures is highly recommended. Also, providing the exact year it was built and details like bore condition, along with an approximation of number rounds through it are helpful. Based on limited info, I'd throw out a number around $1350-1400. Chambering in .280 Rem. is no longer available in an Accumark, so somebody really wanting that caliber might be willing to pay slightly more.
