New to the forums. I've recently embarked on a custom Mark V build which turned out as great as I had hoped it would. I took an early Mark V SS in 300 weatherby mag and rebarreled it to 358 Shooting Times Alaskan. It is a quasi accumark clone. I duplicated the accumark #3 profile with a finished barrel length at 24" and dropped it into an takeoff stock from a mark V dangerous game gun which fit like a glove.
I decided to start a second one in 7mm STW to have a 2 rifle battery. My first rifle I used for the build had the early 2 piece bottom metal, and the second rifle has the single piece bottom metal. Since I'm trying to keep these 2 as close as possible in build specs, I'm trying to locate a stainless finish 2 piece bottom metal.
I know a lot of people dislike the 2 piece, so I'm hoping I can locate one. I have the single piece bottom metal from the SS mark V that I would happily trade for a 2 piece if anyone has one they want to change out or I would buy a 2 piece outright if anybody has one.
