Stores not carrying Weatherby Ammo??

So I noticed recently that some of the bigger stores are not carrying much Weatherby ammo.

My local Cabelas only seems to stock .257wby and has some 'leftovers' of the heavier Weatherby Calibers.  Yes I can order online, but I can't just go pick up a box of any other Weatherby caliber.  I bought a .240Wby recently and was looking to stock up. 

So I went on my yearly trip to Maine.  On my trip I hit Kittery Trading Post and LL Bean.  Neither store stocked any Weatherby calibers other than .257Wby.  I mean there isn't even a place on the shelf where they are missing or marked 'out of stock.'  I even asked and was told they just don't carry it. The guy at LL Bean even said they don't carry .240Wby because it was such a 'rare' caliber. 

Anybody else notice a shortage of Weatherby ammo or retailers not stocking it?  I have enough trouble getting it shipped to this state.

I retail ammo, guns, hunting gear etc.

And while there may be some "reason for the delay" since I'm on the Canadian side of things, I ordered "cases" of Weatherby ammo back last December at a retailers trade show and have yet to get a single box.

So if the issue is similar on the US side of the border it could very well be that orders have gone "unfilled", but not for the lack of trying on the part of the retailer...

See that's kind of alarming as I have noticed the same thing but mostly with the TSX loaded Weatherby ammo............but just yesterday I stroll into Wholesale Sports and low and behold 10 boxes of 300 Wby 180gr TSX, funny thing I had called earlier in the day and was told "no sir we don't have any 300 Weatherby ammo"

I just ordered 5 boxes from Prophet River in Alberta,

The new Abbotsford Cabelas had lots of 300 wby loaded ammo but no Weatherby 180gr TSX, they also had Hornady,Nosler,HSM loaded wby ammo.

I was in wholesale sports in Saskatoon, a week ago, and they had quite abit of factory Weatherby TSX ammo for the 300,7mm,270,and 240 on the shelves. The guy at the gun counter said it was carry over from last year.

No shortage of Wby Ammo here at the Sportsmans Warehouse, both loaded ammo and brass cases. If they dont have what you want they will order it for you.

This is why I buy Weatherby.  Ask a general question, and get a answer straight from the horse's mouth!
