This may sound odd to most but at last I'm going to take my Weatherby out to do what it does best and it will be on my first Mule Deer in Colorado. I have a Mark V .300 mag. which I do my own handloading for. My only question to those who have taken Muleys is what do you suggest as the best bullet weight?  Currently I have it sighted in at 2 inches high, per guide, at 200 yards and holding sub 1" groups with Hornady SST's 180 grain.

I like the 180's out of my 300 WBY. I have used this bullet weight for 20+ years and havent seen anything walk away from it yet.

I have used 180's on big muledeer and Elk with excellent results. I like partitions in that cartridge.
