My 6.5 Accumark hates the Lrx's......1.5" at 100.
Without much work I have the 140 VLds under an inch and the 143 Hornady Eld-x in the .3's at 3425 fps.
BEST out of the box gun I own.
what powder are you using with those two bullets ?

I'm sure they will get it sorted out !

Weatherby stands behind their products 110% and then some so you can be sure they will get it fixed.  Years ago my Dad cleaned and put his Jap .300 Weatherby in a Mark V Deluxe at the end of deer season, in the spring when we took it to the range it wouldn't group, he shot four shot strings and it was grouping over four inches and there were two fliers each string.  We called Weatherby and they recrowned the barrel with no luck and ended up fixed it by putting on a new barrel and it shoots as well as it ever did.
Nothing is better than a Weatherby, big bore magnum, or a Colt.

Whilst my rifle did not begin life as a 6.5-300 Wby I am reloading using ADI 2225 (Retumbo, Reloader25) at 75.7 gn with 140gr Ballistic Tips MV 3090ft/sec whilst not super hot I am getting excellent results!
I am shooting a Arroyo RC (ex 340Wby) with 26 inch Hart varmint barrel

Nice work Mike. Looks like a few of our feral critters here in Australia are in for a world of trouble!

That is great accuracy and theres nothing wrong with not loading hot, but the 6.5-300 was developed for speed, and most handloaders will try to squeeze out the most velocity they can while achieving what they feel is acceptable accuracy. No one has been able to reach the ballistic velocities Weatherby publishes, but everyone tries to get as close or the most they can with good accuracy. What counts is being satisfied with the speed and accuracy your able to achieve and 3090ft/sec, "Whilst not super hot, Im getting excellent results!" Just no arguing with that statement as results is what counts.

Of the three handloads we tried all were around 3200fps with 140gr bullets and we had the same results of vertical stringing down and to the left anywhere from 4-6 inches

Just an update on my 6.5-300, after Rusty McCune posted on here with his contact info I called left a message and he called me back shortly after that, after a short discussion he said get the rifle to our S.C.
I sent the rifle to our Weatherby Service Center in BC,

I felt the need to send Adam an email explaining what was going on with the rifle and that I was disappointed with the fact it was a RC rifle and still wasn't shooting ?
I got a very meaningful email response back within an hour saying that they would resolve the issue asap.

I also just received another follow up call this morning reporting the progress of the rifle and what's taking place.

I will say I am very impressed with their approach to solving the issues with my rifle, pretty hard to beat the response I've received from Weatherby, no finger pointing no excuses just lets get it fixed and back in your hands.

I just wanted to post up and say Thank you to the staff at Weatherby.

Another fine example of why we love Weatherby. Mistakes are made and I knew Weatherby would take care of you. I keep looking at Cooper firearms but  then  think about how well  Weatherby takes care of their customers and Weatherby wins every time.

Ok I thought I would pass along an update on my 6.5-300 Outfitter RC

Weatherby's Service rep has called and informed me that they're building me a new rifle and it will be shipped out the end of February all going well,

I guess with having to export the rifle back from British Columbia the time frame just made more sense to build a new one and ship it out,
they probably wouldn't even receive my rifle back from the Warranty Depot in BC by the end of February !

Very good of Weatherby to call a few times and keep me updated of the progress of my situation.
