The Bergers are designed to fragment. They are not my idea of bullets for edible meat.  JMO!

I was concerned about this, until I did a lot of research on how they have done on the longrangehunting forums, have a ton of pics and such on how they do on game. But I am also looking hard at the Hammer all copper bullets, they have a 196gr designed for a 1:10 twist that I am also interested in and will probably be purchasing some as well. I also picked up some H1000 powder also.

I'm one of those members at the long range forums. I will not use Bergers. I do not want a bullet that can't break a shoulder if I need to.

The Hammers are a little different. They peel off the front pedals and the base keeps going.

I've recently tried Barnes for the first time and I'm very happy.

I tested Hammer bullets with my 308 Win. The 166gn Hammer Hunter prints 2/3” groups so the consistent accuracy is easily there.
Of all the gin joints in all the towns in all the world, she walks into mine.

Thanks for the accuracy report on the 308 Hammers. Any idea when you'll get to try that load on game? Also a while back you were gonna try the 166 grain Hammer Hunters in the 300 Weatherby, have you had a chance to load any of that ammo yet?
