What’s the best factory load for whitetail deer 0 to 500 yards mainly inside of 150 yards

In the vanguard line buying a 6.5 300 bee what’s the lightest rifle they make pretty sure going to buy one

Welcome to the Nation Butch!  Those of us who own the 6.5-300 bee, have them in the Mark V.  I personally own an Accumark, and what has been the factory ammo that most of these rifles like is the 127 LRX.  However, your rifle will be the deciding factor on which ammo shoots better.  In regards to the lightest Vanguard rifle made, it is the Vanguard Synthetic.  Let us know what you end up buying.

Check out the Vanguard Wilderness as well, I bought one not too long ago, I really like the feel and look of that rifle.

I used the 127 grain LrX on all three deer I killed.

I have the markV ultra lightweight at 6.75 lbs.
I use 127gr LRX and I have 3 shot groups of 1/2” at 100yds.
I believe the synthetic stock Vanguard weighs 7.5lbs
I recently ordered some ammo that has 140gr Berger VLD’s just to see how they group. I doubt I will get better groups than the Barnes 127’s.

First post, I went with a Mark V Arroyo. Added Warne mountain tech rail and medium rings. Mounted a Nikon Black x1000 4x16 illuminated reticle. It's my second markV rifle first in a weatherby caliber. Looking for a 500/600 yd deer rig. Want to see what the 130gr Bergers do through it.

debating now on 270 wyb what gun would be better for whitetail deer and black bear shots all under 500 yards was looking at 6.5 300 to was looking at ballistics didn't see much difference in the two most shots probably 100 to 200 yards what caliber and which factory load don't reload any more just for hunting two weeks out of year thanks for any input stuck between these two

Definitely cheaper to use the 270 and the animal won't know any difference.

Not much difference ballistics wise. I'd look for the rifle I want and whichever ones available in it. If both are, flip a coin.

Have them both I would search for the best deal because both are a little overkill for the average deer hunter inside 200 yards. That being said I'm a fine one to talk - overbore tends to suite me just fine!

Personal experience is work with good ammo - fragmenting ammo tends to be very bad on meat damage at high velocities/closer range. We take shoulder shots so accubonds, scirocco's, barnes and partitions work best for me. bergers, ballistic tips and cheaper lead bullets do lots of damage. If that's not an issue and dead is dead in your book - pretty open options then. Not much in the way of medium sized game going to live under a well placed 130/140 bullet in either of the two traveling a warp speed.
