Called him in to about 30 yards. His beard is wide and thick but only a few inches long, as you can see it has red tips which is different (some say that's from beard rot), he has a heavy body and 1" spurs

We here in Ontario can harvest two but you have to buy two licenses

 Where about in Ontario? My Dad and Mom were from Ont.
We have a group from up near Ottawa come out for Huns every fall.

Nice bird. With the hard winters you have up there it's a wonder ALL the gobblers don't have beard rot. LOL Congratulations.

I am from the Chatham area, which is located in the southern part of Ontario
Beard rot can be common due to our winter weather........depending on the year
I started the morning with a Primos single reed mouth call to get his attention and once he got close to my single hen decoy I switched to my "Turkey Thugs Rim Shot" slat to seal the deal
Ammo was 12 gauge Winchester Long Beard 3" # 5

It is a Red Dot mounted on a Mossberg 535 Turkey Special 22" barrel and xxfull choke tube
