I have inherited a 270 Weatherby Mag.  It has a Mauser action.  It has no serial #.  It has Weatherby Southgate, Ca. stamped on the barrel, and FN Belgium stamped on the receiver.  I would like to know the age and value of this rifle?  I am putting a new custom stalk on it.  It is being re-blued.  It should look showroom new when I am finished.  Also this rifle is deadly accurate.
Thanks,

There comes a time when the gun metal needs greater protection if it is going to be hunted with. That is why I am in favor of rebluing rifles that are used. Rust and politicians are a firearms worst enemies. Sometimes, we put new stocks on them, right, so why shouldn’t the metal be protected?
