Nice choice. Perfect dangerous game gun plus still has enough magnification to reach out a bit and tag some plains game.

Testing it out today with the iron sights, standing off a tri-pod at 50 yards
The trigger is going to need some work, but l dont think this gun has been fired much. Trigger was getting better in just a few rounds

Great shooting!!!!  Practice, and practice some more on the sticks.  That is what you'll be shooting from in Africa.

Looks to me like you could go buffalo hunting tomorrow...
I shoot cases with a belt because I feel the other cartridges need to pull their trousers up.

I thought I would throw this in the mix.  Mine is a Remington Model 700. Love the .375.  These are a couple of reduced loads that I've found work very well, and one full power load.  The reduced loads make this an all day on the bench kind of rifle.  I can't do that with the full power stuff.

Nice shooting. The load I used was a starting load with RL-15. Going to try H-4895 also

Here our "equivalent" of IMR4350 is a bit bulky.

Because of that we tend to powders more in the IMR3031 or IMR4064 type of range. I've in fact loaded almost all from 260 to 350gr with our faster 3031 type powder, S335.

The H&H is easy to get to shoot well in my experience. I think you are going to like it. Something like a 300gr Interlock makes for a great practice load at around 2300fps.

Did some bullet testing in water. The bullets tested. 270 TSX, 300 A-Frame

Will load the Barnes first, lined the jugs up, show the result of the hit note the top of the first jug behind and right, recovered bullet. 32" penetration

A-Frame, note the top of first jug, it landed 17 yards behind the jugs

I'd bet in a hefty animal that A-Frame would be a dandy. What a perfect mushroom

There is a great example of two great hunting bullets. Can't go wrong with either of them for your hunt Mike.

Mike +1 on the bullet performance, either should work great on Pdogs!!!
