i have been tending to my wife.she has been sick.i finely got a deal on a 6.5 remington magnun from a friend for him to use.thank you all for your help

You ought to be able to get a muzzle velocity of about 2900 fps with 140/143 grain bullets with that 6.5 Rem…….depending on what it likes to eat. Anywhere close to that is fine. It’s more about accuracy than speed. In my opinion, accuracy is paramount.
