Nosler accubond 140 grain mv 3250. Shot was 200 yards buck down in forty yards. Not Sure what exactly happened but bullet never left chest cavity.

+1  the bullet came apart on the shoulder.  I would have assumed @ 200 yards the 140 gr accubond would have shed enough energy and speed to do better than that. Well, at least you still have the backstraps and rear quarters

Seems that Nosler Accubond did not deliver as advertised, more like a ballistic tip. Penetrated enough to blow up parts of the boiler room and keep him from going far. Can't believe there was no shank in the carnage.

Looked high and low for remnants of bullet found nothing, heart was cut in half. Meat damage wasn’t as bad as the picture showed, really glad I didn’t hit shoulder blade. Only broke 1 rib. It did perform like a ballistic tip. One may have made its way through the factory. Oh well deer seasons over for me.

Bullets don't always every time perform the same. Lots of things can factor in to that. The Accubond has a very good reputation so l wouldn't give up on it if they shoot good in your rifle

I have never had problems with Accubonds, I shoot them in several of my rifles, elk are not very big fans of them. I love em

I agree with what Mike posted, bullets can do unexpected things sometimes.

Ya that’s interesting - I had a 110 accubonds in my 257 bust out upon entering an antelope at close range. Weird deal we found allot of the bullet one piece was lodged in his op hind quarter.

Only time I’ve seen it I shoot them quite often and never happened again.

The bullet had one job and it did the job. From the view in the picture you hunt a wide open country like I do. In my opinion Weatherby cartridges are perfectly suited for big places.

Yes, if you shoot any bullet enough you will see an unusual result. And it could of course happen early on.
I load the 140 grain Nos. Part. for my Wife's 6.5x55 and here backup CM, she has harvested 2 young Bull Elk, both shot in the shoulder and out the other. And every time she shot a Whitetail penetration was complete with good internal damage, but one time she shot a young Buck and for whatever reason the penetration was not complete, no exit, VERY little blood. I finally found him, the bullet certainly killed but out of character never the less.
Samples of one are just that but worth noting just the same.
