Heat it with a hair dryer on a low setting and see if that frees it up.Make take you a while heating this way,but I don't think it's good on them to use the high setting.

Hello 224KING,
Thanks for the reply.

Yes, I tried that, and it worked.  I was able to turn the power ring and adjust the power - however, when the scope cooled down, it was seized again.  I don't have an extension cord long enough to hunt with it.

As far as I know there is no repair center.

Parsons has worked on Weatherby scopes in the past, but I would contact them by phone or email to find out if they still offer Weatherby service, and how much it will cost to repair. The repair may be more expensive than you think. I suppose you're trying to save it as vintage on an older Weatherby rifle? If you're hunting with this scope, the quality of the glass from that era is comparatively poor in contrast to the glass thats available in modern scopes. I'm sure there are many Weatherby scopes still in use today, and hunters still swear by them, but... (some of the glass in the cheaper scopes made these days outshine the scopes that were made back in the day) Here are the Wby scope mfg. dates, and the "Parsons Service Repair link is below the dates. Hope this helps and Good Luck.
