Anyone with quickload worked up a 30-378 with retumbo and 200gr accubonds?  I'm curious on the data you input.

That info is available in the Nosler manual. It starts at 92.0 grs. of Retumbo with a max of 96.0 Length of 3.630"!  Hope that helps!   :)

You are right in that is what Nosler states, but that load is so anemic that I would have 2nd thoughts as to using it. I would believe it may be too low and dangerious. If you check the Hodgdon data their load with the 200 Nosler AB starts at 98 grs and maxes at 105 which is more in line with other data I have read.

I have quickload.  Also GRT.  Yes, Noslers data is quite low.  I currently use 104gr of Retumbo with a 200gr Nosler ACB.  OAL is 3.698" and trim length is 2.905".  Quickload and GRT warn me to not use this load as it is well over max chamber pressure.  Well, the load works just fine and gives me a muzzle velocity of 3250fps.  I see others that use loads even higher than 104gr of Retumbo.  Hence my question in the beginning.  I would expect Quickload to be closer to my values than it is and was concerned I missed something in putting in the data.  Quickload says my velocity should be 3170fps with a chamber pressure of 65218psi and max is 63817 so I'm theoretically 1401psi over.  Spent cartridges show no signs over over pressure.  The elk I harvested 3 weeks ago may have argued the point but it didn't have the time.

Did you enter your actual case capacity. This makes a difference as well as the Pierre V an de Walt weighing factor of .34 rather than the default # of .52.

Canadian,
Yes, 125gr h20.  I did the .52 weighing factor because I couldn't find the correct, per se', one.  When I adjust the weighing factor to .34, the numbers look much much better.  Well within standard deviation.  Thank you.  I will read about that factor.

Are you sure of your case capacity (fired case). Mine is 133.4 gr H2O. Seems like a big difference. Just asking.

Where the hell did you find that chart?  I looked all over.

(Hdy fired case 2.909 length and 130gr H20.

What you use is the fired case volume in QL or GRT. These are the GRT sebert values ( Weighting factor)
