Ran a Sightmark Photon For a long time and still have it. Still really like it. Running a Sightmark Wraith 4-32 at the moment. I’m a real big fan. I really like the daytime mode option on the Wraith.

Nice shooting DW ;). IIRC, seems the last few hogs have been taken with neck shots and recovery has been no problem.

The Wraith is more compact than other night vision scopes that I've had or held but it weighs a bit. Somewhere in the 35oz range. With the Weathermark already being a moderately weighted rifle, the added weight of the scope really takes a lot of the recoil out of the .257.

I will check that out. Looking for A night time Scope for Coyotes. Probably for my AR
The one I seen On tv was $ 7000
Needless to say I was not interested.

Must have been a quality thermal optic. They can easily get 10K plus. Pulsar and few other brands make great thermals for thousands cheaper though.

While digital night vision doesn’t do all a good thermal does, for 90% of hunters, myself included, I think DNV fits the bill nicely. DNV is WAY WAY cheaper than thermal. Sightmark is by far the best DNV I have personally used and both their Wraith and Photon lines come in around 500 bucks. I dig the Wraith these days just because it has full daytime functionality. I did hunt for years very successfully with Photons though, even in the daytime.
