Black bear hunt

Heading to Burks Falls Ontario tomorrow morning for a 7 day bear hunt, I will post results when I get back for those who are interested.

Best of luck. What rifle, scope, ammo combination are you using?

I am bring my Excalibur Matrix G340 crossbow with Rage 125 X-treme broadheads and my 700 Remington stainless 270 WSM with 140G Trophy Bonded Tips, Vortex Diamond Back 3x9 scope. I am leaning toward the crossbow as my first choice this year only because I have taken two bear with my rifle. If I am successful with the X-bow, next year will be my  shotgun with a slug.

Those are the best hunts.  Hopefully Canada will be open by next year, I'd like to visit for a bear hunt too.

I just got home and am happy to report that we harvested 4 bears. I was lucky enough to take one with my crossbow!

We took 2 on Saturday and 2 on Sunday. We stopped hunting Sunday as a conservation plan for the property and cleaning trials the rest of the trip preparing for the upcoming whitetail hunt in November. One of our younger members took his first bear so that was cool.

I will post pictures tomorrow.
