8 of our bear group, me included, are heading to Northern Ontario tomorrow for a 6-day archery moose hunt in Nakina. Nakina is located at the bush line of Northern Ontario. For those that don't know the location, it's at the end of highways.
From Southern Ontario, it will be an 18-hour drive. My truck with 4 are leaving tomorrow morning and plan to drive 10-12 hours and stay overnight and then make the 8-hour drive to camp Sunday morning. The other truck plan to leave Sunday at 3:00 am and drive straight through.
This is our first early season archery hunt, we usually late season rifle hunt in the extreme cold and snow, so looking forward to the more comfortable temps.
The rut should be on so looking forward to putting my calling skills to use, hope I don't mess that up.
I will post when I get back

Beat of luck to you. Have a safe and enjoyable hunt. As far as I'm concerned, moose is unbeatable as table fare, ahead of elk by a small margin.

Best of luck to you. Getting close enough for a good bow shot will be a challenge. Hope you get a decent shot opportunity.
Come and take it.

We had a great hunt but unfortunately no moose. The rut hadn't started yet so there was not much sign. The weather started to cool down nicely at the end of the week. Saw tons of trucks with ATV's, canoes and campers heading north on our way home, I suspect they will have hit the rut at its peak.

Maybe next time.

Bummer you guys couldn't get a moose, but any day in the field is better than sitting at work.  Any pictures of the area?
