Gloss Finished Scopes ??

Gloss Finished Scopes ??

Does anyone make them anymore? I'm looking to scope my Weatherby Mark V Deluxe in .460 Weatherby Magnum. I would prefer a gloss finish to match the gloss bluing on the rifle. But they're unobtanium. I can't find a gloss finished scope anywhere.

I know the matte finish is taking over, but there still has to be a demand for these gloss finished scopes. But I sure can't find one, except for a few on E-Bay that are all ridiculously overpriced.

Sory to be the bearer of bad news my friend, but nobody makes gloss scopes anymore. The main company was Leupold but they stopped and the only other one is Leica Magnus that you are going to have to pay BIG bucks for.
Don't buy those cheap scopes from ebay, they are usually fakes.

There is a really good guy on eBay. He goes by lfcrock. I have purchased a few scopes from him in the past couple years. He has a great selection of scopes. He says the supply of gloss scopes are drying up. He’s a straight shooter. You can trust him. If you need a gloss scope, I ‘d get it soon because there are no more! Good luck!

No the custom shop doesn't do them anymore either. I buy every 2nd hand one I see if it's in good condition. I love my gloss Mark V's with gloss Leupold's on top. I have 4 or 5 gloss scopes left and then Sadly I won't be having any new rifles in this combo anymore  :'(  :'(  :'(

And forget about trying to find one with the 24 carats gold ring and side emblem. Those are rare gems indeed. Boy do they get me going when mounted a glamours Mark V with great stock and rich dark bluing.  :-*
You know the "old" school proper looking Weatherby rifles....

What about these new Leupold scopes that are gloss Cerakote? They look good. Does anyone know anything about them? I'm wondering how well they hold up. And how thick the coating is?

I didn't know Leupold were doing a gloss black cerakote. I will look into that as I have some gloss black cerakoted rifles so it may be a closer match.

I don't know if it's Leupold who is doing them. This one was done by U.S. Cerakote. It sure looks identical to the old factory gloss models Leupold put out. They say it doesn't effect the factory warranty. I'm not sure of the cost or turn around time.

That looks ok. I have had an older Miroku scope done in matt black, and it came up great. My mate that does the cerakoting around here is great at his job, so I am talk to him about it if need be.

Have gloss scopes gone the way of wood stocks and polished blue actions?
