The Sciorccos did not expand for me at close ranges. Only the TSX and A-Frames work. Others fall apart. I have not tried the 220 gr. Woodleighs out of my 325WSM on hogs, yet.

Interesting note certainly we've all had some kind of expereince. I switched to scirocco's in my wby's because more often than not we will be shooting well under 100 yards at our ranch. I've had accubonds and eldx type bullets come apart. Barnes are a solid choice, but for me the scirocco's were the better choice for something shot behind the shoulder or through the shoulders. I've not had a deer run more than maybe 10-15 yards most crumble. I've punched deer with 90 grain scricco's through both shoulders and they crumble with minimal blood shot meat.

Not in anyway disagreeing with what happened, in fact I'm still a believer that accubonds and eldx are very accurate and deadly combos (i've just had a bad experience with high velocity rounds that weatherby produces). For me i wanted something stout enough to punch like a partition and accurate - these so far have fit my bill.

use the 90grn Scirocco's in my .240 Wby and the 130 grainers in my 6.5x65 RWS. I have some loaded in the 6.5x300 too.
Have never tried the A-Frames in anything yet.
