Hopefully with the temperature swing, the bears will hit your bait during the day.  Good luck, and keep your head on a swivel.  LOL!

Well, your ground set ups are close, but I guess you don't have much choice in a thick lush swamp like that. Do you use a some kind of pop-up blind or is it all natural concealment? With the bears bedding close to the baits, (which sounds dicey) I would guess you don't get a chance to refresh the baits much, unless maybe during warm days? Good luck and be vigil.

If I had a blind I didn’t mind getting destroyed, I’d use one. I won’t put my expensive cell trail camera out for the same reason. In the past hunting from a tree stand I’ve actually had most bears and a timber wolf occasionally peak at me in my stand while feeding. I usually try to bait between 10-2 every day, so they get used to my scent and daily arrival. I didn’t hunt last night due to a large thunderstorm.

Maybe the bears know your scent well enough to know when you're on stand? Might not make a difference if they don't consider you a threat. They're also curious, sneaky, and don't forget,  they're still wild animals.

Finally harvested a bear weighing 200 pounds after dressing. Donating everything but the scraps to the Sportsman Club game feed, scraps for sausage. Shot the bore with my Model 7 Remington 300 SAUM with 10 minutes of shooting light left last night.

Great job. Are you going to have the hide tanned as a wall hanger or a rug or?
