Who's still out there?

Ladies and Gentleman,

Seems to me we need to bring some more life to this forum. Who's still out there chasing white tails?

So far I've been 3 times out there (public land), and I was outsmarted all three times. Didn't even see any deer, just squirrels, birds and cows. Unless all the deer in that area is dead already...

Of course, I was taking my beloved 7mm with me.

I’ve spent 3 weeks in 2 states chasing whitetails and mule deer! Time to relax and go ice fishing!

I lost a 129 inch,8pt,last week to the highway that runs by my biggest place. If I'm off road,in my pastures,I'm hunting.I'm blessed to be able to do what I want, when I want to.Our numbers are down from the extremely hot and dry climate of the last 2 years.Hope to get some rain over the next 4 days.

Love the classic Weatherby wood on your 7mm... looks great!

I've been a couple of times in November but nothing yet this month. One of my kiddos got sick this week so that threw a wrinkle in my plans to get out there this week. Looking at next week sometime, hopefully and maybe once or twice after Christmas before its all done here in TX.

Deer hunting here is a very expensive thing. Public hunting requires a boat and dangreous from the loons there. I'll stick to hog hunting once the deer season is over.  :)

I whitetail hunt almost every weekend with an additional 2 week spike and doe season that just started. We have a small family place about 40-45 mins from home.

I travel to missouri this season for the first time hunting in the midwest was able to score on a nice 10point opening morning and my brother took a nice 8 point out of the same stand the next morning. I've harvested a couple of does for meat here at the home place in Texas but never fails the hogs show up and well, we don't like hogs here so they run my deer off and pay the ultimate price!

Good looking sharp shooter you have there - classic deluxe stocks are a thing of beauty!

Alright, season over and tag not filled. It's okay though.... I wasn't hardcore for a long time, I'm not starting now. Just a little disappointed to be honest. Will invest more time and effort in the future.

Thank you, I love this rifle. It's older than me, looks better than me, and is in better shape than me!
