Denim dilemma

Denim dilemma

Like a lot of you, I try to vote with my wallet, supporting pro 2A and veteran owned companies and avoiding the liberal, woke ones as much as possible. In line with that, after half a century of wearing Levi's jeans my entire life, I boycotted them and started buying Wrangler jeans a few years ago. My wife absolutely hates the Wranglers and says they don't last like the Levi's - she says don't buy any more Wranglers. Hate to say it, but she is correct on the wear - the Wranglers have been getting holes in them and Levi's I have had longer are in better shape. Crap man, what's a guy to do? The idea of giving any business to those woke bastards irks me big time.
Come and take it.

I'm with you.  Except for my time in the Army in the late '60s, I wore Levi's almost every day until a few years ago when Levi's went anti-2A.  I think my Levi's fit better, but now I'm strickly Wranglers.

Yep, mine fit better too, on top of lasting longer. It's a real shame that an iconic American company went to the dark side. Sadly, the possibility of caving to the wife might happen just to keep from hearing any nagging. She hates everything about my Wranglers (I have 4 pairs of them).
Come and take it.

I've been buying Carharts for a while. Yes, they are made offshore like just about  everything else.

Don't know much about Jeans since I gave up wearing them when I found Dickies was more comfortable, warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. I do have Carhart and Wrangler jeans in the closet but they seldom get worn and I should donate them to clear space.
I have found that Levi jeans are heavier than Wrangler which could be why they wear longer as the Carhart's do. I do like the Wrangler long sleeve shirts but find the denim is heavier than the kaki.

I do not wear denim anymore, but I have bought quite a few products from Duluth Trading and they wear for a long time. I'm sorry but I do not know their stance on 2A or their political standing.

Carhartt is the my answer to the wokeness of Levi's. You can get Carhartt Seconds for about 1/3 to 1/2 the price of the regular clothing, hats, etc.
Check back the next day if your desired color / size is not in stock.

Won't by anything Levi,   won't shop at Dick's either.  Kind of don't buy Denim too much anymore more of a fast drying material guy lately and suspenders actually do work.

As I matured physically I have pretty much quit the wranglers and buy the $13/pair jeans from Menards.
They wear about the same as Wranglers I like the fuller fit and the fact they cost about $25 less per pair,

I do have a couple pair of insulated Riggs by Wrangler jeans that I really like for the colder weather. I have a couple pair of the cheap insulated ones that I wear when it's not the deep cold.

I don't buy anything Levy's anymore, for their stance on 2A, and Gay rights.

I would rather replace a pair of Wranglers, Dickies, Lee's, Carharts, or Texas Jeans USA once a year "if necessary" than buy Levi's.

I need to look at the Carhartts and other options. Buying any more Levi's just turns my stomach.
Come and take it.

Yep that's kinda my thinking as well. I wear Wrangler 13MWZs all the time. When they wear out, they go into my "deer lease" jeans stack. Heck even my FR gear for going into substations is an FR form of Wranglers.
