I have a 1970 Mark V 300 Magnum that hasn't been shot since 1971-72. The gun has been in its case in a closet, dry and warm.

Anything I need to do before firing it besides the obvious things like checking the bolt, etc?  Thank you!

Make sure the action screws are tight (35 in lb) and run a patch or two down the bore and make sure the bore isn't obstructed.
