Bell and Carlson stock

Bell and Carlson stock

I posted on here a couple days ago about wanting to replace the stock on my MarkV accumark. Been doing a lot of researching and the only option I’ve come up with without having to break the bank along with a really long lead time is a B&C stock.
My question is for anybody that has been around one is the palm swell any slimmer than what the factory accumark stock is? That’s the main thing I’m trying to get away from, just wanting the gun to feel more natural in my hand. Any info would be greatly appreciated

i purchased a lh B&C model and do not notice a difference in that area, the stocks are pretty much identical but i wanted the forest green!

I think thumbhole or wood is your only options for what your looking for but I could be wrong on that -

Depends on which Accumark you have.  The older with H-S Precision stocks have a slimmer palm area for your right hand.  The B & C are a little fatter in this area, but same as modern production stocks on Accumarks.

Look at end of your butt pad to see which one you have.

I would absolutely love a thumb hole but I can’t find anybody that offers a thumhole in left hand for a MarkV Accumark.

That would make it the B & C stock.  H-S Precision is physically imprinted on the butt pad.

Thank you sir. So to get one that is thinner in the palm area, I would need to find somebody that had a H-S Precision stock they wanted to get rid of?

so interesting so i had to go check mine out - pictured both are B&C years vary. One measures 5.5" at the smallest point in the palm vs the other at 5".

Well that is something I would’ve never figured! I would’ve thought it would’ve been one measurement for across the board.
I’ll measure mine when I get back home today, and let you know where mine lands at

My palm swell measured out at 5.5” as well, so it has the thickest of the two on it… Just my luck

If you think that 5” swell would make a noticeable difference and wanted to part with it, I would be interested in purchasing it from you.
But I understand if you want to hold on to it
