Right now it's an insufferable 84 with 17% humidity officially. I'm showing 83.4 and 16 % humidity. We do have 90 degree weather forecast later in the week but it's nice to get a little respite.

104 for the high with humidity on 2 points either side of 30%.It's gonna be HOT!

I have heard that they have cooling trailers at big frac jobs on wellsites out West now. Inside the trailers the thermostats are set around 88 degrees so you don't cool down too quick and when you do go back outside into a heat index of 110 it doesn't jolt your system.Working with fire retardant clothing on with H2S monitor hanging on you in heavy steel toe buts is brutal this time of year. I bet it's the same way Southwest and West of San Antone too.

Yep, now that the clouds and rain have been gone a few days, the heat is ramping up. Slight chance of thunderstorms here Sunday-Monday, which hopefully could cool things off a bit. I see Florida is a likely target for a potential storm brewing out there. Grouchy, dust off your shutters and check your supplies just in case!
Come and take it.

It keeps tracking further west. If it hits Cuba, it's likely to disappear. The wave may be a gulf coast thing. I'm as ready as I can be for a storm.  The news here is calling for a full on panic, nothing unusual.  I do check the NHC several times a day this time of year. I don't want anything sneaking up on me.  :)

Currently 81° with a real feel of 90°. 68% humidity. We’re gonna try for 105° today which means 107°-110° most likely. Hopefully this humidity will burn off quick.

I am now under a flood watch through Sunday night. This potential storm is hitting at flood tide because of the phase of the moon. Any storm surge is going to be really nasty if it hits at high tide. It still tracks to the gulf coast of Florida. I'll check with 9 year old Noah on any progress on his boat.  ;D

You live in Florida and don't own a boat? That's like living in Wyoming and not owning a gun.

When does the weather start cooling down up there.

Soon I hope. This heat isn't continuous. After about a week of 90+ weather it usually drops down to low to middle 80's. I'm hoping it starts cooling off soon. Antelope season starts in some areas as early as Sept. 1. Most areas in six to seven weeks for firearms. Archery season starts on the 15th of this month. It's a real challenge to keep the meat from souring.
