Hi all Just wondering if anyone has seen a mark v with a stainless action and fluted barrel like this one. I can't seem to find any info on it. Maybe from the custom shop?

I've got a couple rifles with stainless actions and barrels but they don't look near that good.

Update. Weatherby informed me the gun left the factory in 1997 as a Mark V stainless fluted with a polymer stock not a wood stock. The previous owner must have put a different stock on it.

I still wonder what model though offered the flutes. Tuperware stock makes sense, i've added wood stocks to some myself.

I found this advertisement, but it doesn't give any other model name.

great find though, 1996 - unless i've just overlooked them because i look for wood guns mainly this is the first one i recall seeing. Cool model, wonder if it was a LW model or standard 8.5lbs,

The 96/97 catalog might be the place to look. My catalogs only go back to 2009.
