The news is all over the place with very few facts. They say the 20 year old got the gun from his father that he lived with. Yes, an AR style weapon!  Secret service says there were no requests for further coverage of Trump. I'm sure there will be more crap in the news just to sell some ads.

If you don't have a man on a buiding,with line of sight to the stage,and a 130 yards away,you should be fired.No ifs,ands,or buts.The head of that team should be fired immediately.

224KING  + 1,  I don't get it maybe  there was a  communications breakdown between different  security personnel,  I would hope there was a command and control that was in communications with ALL protection/security/police agencies that could instantly alert everyone in a split second so they could take immediate action ?  protection detail on and near the stage were right on it , kudo's to those people for their fast action.   I would also hope that there is an emergency override on every ones  communication radios  to announce a serious breech, maybe a better way  possibly issue a second emergency only radio issued to all personnel just for that reason,  maybe they have all this kind of stuff I don't know,   just watching the TV last night there was at least one person at the rally saying he tried to tell police there was someone climbing on the roof,   how in the world was this guy that close to the stage, I hope all this stuff comes out so we can see where the break downs happened.

With secret service,Pa state police and local cops on the scene pre shooting, It could be almost any problem that will probably get covered up. The exception would be anybody but the feds screwing up.  In any case,Trump was lucky where the others shot weren't.

Feds and SS will say that a Butler LEO was supposed to be on that roof from before the rally until after the rally.They guy got down to take a leak?Switch from one guy to another?

At a minimum the head of the SS and the team leader of the SS should be fired in short order like today or tomorrow.

The head of the SS is so embarrassed that she hasn't even gone close to a mic to let us know what happened.Hopefully the press will tear her up when she does,but we all know that won't happen.

Can't believe the team leader hasn't already resigned.Complete incompetence.

They were going to let that kid shoot him,then give the order to shoot the kid.I've thought the same since it happened.It's the only thing that makes sense.

If that news blurb is true and a radio was used, there would be too many people that could have overheard. The news is now trying to track the sale of the weapon. I'm sure the FBI alrady knows where the transfer took place as the news is saying it was bought online. The shooter's family and whoever did the transfer should be getting lawyers and STFU.

Drones, Helicopters! There’s no way someone could get on a roof that close unless there is a major mistake in the coverage. I think it was a setup all the way.
I have personally been where a President was arriving and again when he was leaving. No way someone was on a roof undetected

Now finding out that all the SS was responsible for was the stage and the crowd area.Local police department was in charge of the perimeter.Are you kidding me?What an utter farce for protection of someone running for president.Especially in these days and times.

I knew it would be the Butler police blamed.

Yep, this was a total fail on the part of the Secret Service. I've also been getting information that a Secret Service sniper spotted the kid with the rifle, had crosshairs on him, and was told to stand down unless the kid started shooting. Either the entire thing was a setup, or the plan became: "hold off and let the kid shoot Trump, then take him out." The SS head who gave the stand down order was apparently a Biden appointee (hmmm). Funny too, how the timing is just after Biden's senility was fully exposed to the world at the debate and right before the RNC with Trump due to announce a running mate. Smells pretty fishy doesn't it? It also would be very easy for the nefarious powers currently pulling the strings to recruit a disturbed kid like this by telling him he would be saving his country from a future "dictator."
