This season I’ll use the 7mm Rem mag only.

I hunt near or in cedar swamps in Northern MI
My MI Deer Rifles are a pair of Browing Bar's in 30-06  and as of last year 165 gr Barnes TTSX
My original Mark II sees little action the last 3 years when I bought my new black synthetic Mark III for hunting from tree stands. It has a better scope to boot. I like 30mm 2x7 with the red dot in the cross hairs. My shots are mostly close and in cover.

For the bean fields of N.C., I usually supply my dad, brother, son and family friend with
Rem 700 Ti 300SAUM
Mark V 300 Weatherby
Savage 110 30-06
Rem Model 7 260 Rem

For many years I’ve used a Mark V SS in 257 WBY but last year I used my 6.5-300 Backcountry 2.0 Ti.
Probably bring both again.

Deer I will most likely take my little mule pepe, she's a ruger 1 reeder custom 257 weatherby we loaded some 100 grain swift a-frames for. I also have a Lipsey's ruger 1 in 257 that shoots 100 grain sciroccos i haven't shot in a while. On top of that i'm sure there's a LH 240 or 257 deluxe model that needs sometime. Yes I love the small calibers for deer here in texas. Wife will shoot her 240 euromark or her BC custom 25-06 both are tack drivers;

Plan to head out west either late fall or early next year for some sheep hunting and maybe some plains game i've got some candidates in mind if that happens!

For whitetails in the NY Catskill mountains, my go to is my Weatherby Vanguard Sporter in 30-06 with a Nikon ProStaff 3-9x40. My rainy day gun is a browning A-Bolt II with black synthetic stock, and  steel hinged floor plate with detachable steel magazine (ingenious design IMO), with a Bushnell Elite 3200 3-9x40.

The problem with this question is that we probably all share... Too many gun choices, not enough seasons and not enough tags to use for all the desired guns we'd like to use. Any way, since rifle bear overlaps with first week of deer season here, I'll be carrying a Marlin 444 xlr. After that, probably alternate between a marlin 35 Rem, Savage 99 in 300 Savage and the Accumark in 240.

I try and take a different rifle out with me each time I'm deer hunting, alternating between 2 rifles for a day or two or three in the woods.

This year for opening weekend, I'm planning on making it a "7mm" weekend. Right now, the plan is to take my 280 Rem and 7x57 Ackley, both custom Mauser 98 platforms. I might make Thanksgiving a "6mm" trip and take my 240 Weatherby and 6mm Rem or a 243.

I like rifles with wood stocks

I'd love to take my Savage 212 slug gun for a hog hunt. It's been so hot and wet here that the mosquitoes have to be pure hell in the swamps where I do most of my hunting. Maybe in January, if it dries out and might be a tad cooler!  :)

Since it's now nearly impossible to get a tag in the western states looks like the 6.5/300 is going to stay parked in the safe, I'll be using my Remington 7600 pump .308 for eastern whitetails. Thanks to all the western states for killing dreams again. All my hunting buddies are so fed up with the point creep they've given up applying. Colorado just announced no more nonresident over the counter bow tags, geee thanks. Now you must purchase a small game tag ($98) to even apply for a bow tag, if non successful they keep the $98. Boy that sounds like something we all want to do.

Lots of fires out west.Drought in lots of places too.Bidenomics doesn't help either. If you've been hunting out of state previously you got me beat.I've always hunted close to home.
