I could really use some help, how could I be unhappy with such a beautiful rifle. Well I am disabled and could only walk 1/2 a block at a time. I had brain tumors were benign but affected the nerves in my legs. So I don't shoot every gun I have as frequently as I should. I did shoot it about 20 rounds when I got it, but the bolt always seemed a bit tighter than I expected.
Had beautiful weather yesterday so I took it out to go to my club. Shot about 20 rounds and was fairly close to the bull considering I have been inactive lately. I put the rifle on my lap and removed the bolt to look at it. When I pulled it out the bolt separated from the handle and the face portion. The firing pin was in the middle and easily came out in my hand. But there was no spring inside! I looked at the owner's manual and it looked like I was missing parts 4, 6 & 7 between the 2 halves of the bolt. An e-mail to Weatherby was not helpful and was told they no longer have parts from my 2010 rifle. I was told to contact Anschutz North America and am waiting to hear my e-mail from them. Any help anyone can give would be greatly appreciated. I don't want it to be a wall hanger and am surprised that the bolt could function missing those parts. I did buy it from GB and have never had a problem with any other purchases, I would hate to think the guy I bought it from purposely did this.
