224 Weatherby Load Data w/VV powders

224 Weatherby Load Data w/VV powders

I noticed almost all the loading manuals reference pre-1975 powders for the 224.  Barnes is the only one I found that had a few of the newer powders but none list any Vihtavuori loads.  Anyone have any VV data for the 224?

I would think N133, N530 or N135 should work decent.

Just went through load data.com and found no mentions for  VV powders. Only suggestion I have is to ask someone who has reloading software such as QuickLoad or similar to calculate a safe starting point. Sorry.

A 224 is 5% less capacity of the 22-250.I'd fall back 7% and start working up and keep good records as I went.3650 fps has always been a very accurate velocity for any 224 I've ever loaded for using 50 grain pills.

Good luck!
