Deer Kill

This fall the Farmers in my area are finding dead deer in the soy bean fields when the are picking the beans. One found a 14 point buck today.
Any idea whats killing them? They all have looked health with out an autopsy.

Just a guess that it's some pesticide poisoning them.

If there are no wounds on them, I'd be inclined to agree with Grouch's pesticide theory. If they are eating the crops, maybe somebody poisoned them deliberately?

Most of these framers have leased hunting so poisoning on purpose can be elimanated. All the beans are no till and herbicide resistant so it is posible the herbicides sprayed after the beans come up to kill off the weeds could do it. I don't know what they are using but Roundup is likely mixed with liquid amonium nitrate.

I doubt it was intentional. I still think it's some kind of chemical poison used locally .  Otherwise, it would be all over the country anywhere soy beans are grown.
