What custom shop work have you seen and what did it cost?

I am thinking about personalizing the Mark IV floorplate with a "ribbon" and the words "31years U.S. service" on the ribbon.  Anybody had anything like this done? Price and delivery time?
What other things has anybody had done to their rifle by Roy's shop?

I suggest contact Dean or Jared at Weatherby and tell them what you would like.  They can give you a price and options straight away.  805-227-2600

In the early 80's I bought 2 Fibermarks, one in 257 and one  in 300. Back then you could get custom options from the factory. I got my pick of barrel contours and length. You could also get the bolt and follower engine turned and a Canjar single set rigger. I don't remember what it cost, but I got them all. The Canjar trigger is sweet. I've never measured them, but they break like a glass rod.

I have had quite a bit of custom work done in the shop in Paso Robles and have always been very pleased.  If my memory serves me, a rebarrel is about $410, my name engraved on the bolt was about $90 and a damascened bolt job was about $140.  It does take some time, but the shipping and payment has always been painless.  I recommend them highly.  Jared and Dean are great.

I just ordered a Vanguard Custom in .300 wby mag, stainless, fluted barrel, accubrake and grey laminate stock. I paid $1125, but there are no details as to how the action is bedded. Can anyone shed some light, or should I call the custom shop? Thanks... 8)
