Hey everyone-
I am happy to be here and learning about Weatherby. I am a seven year gun shop owner so I am always looking to expand my knowledge on all things firearms. I come from a line of law enforcement agents and who better to shoot guns with than police officers. Long time shooter, mostly a buyer and not usually a seller.
I recently was given an Orion to sell on consignment for a customer. I am hoping the vast amount of members can help me with this one. I have a Weatherby Orion chambered in 410 bore over under from 1988. Shiny blued finish with walnut and rosewood. I have searched all over the internet, gun bibles and local shops. No one has seen one, heard of it or has a clue about it.
I have a letter of authenticity from Weatherby directly that was hand signed by Roy Weatherby himself and their historian Dean.
I even went as far as calling them and the gentlemen I spoke with said in the 12 years he has worked there, he has never heard of such shotgun. Informed me to call back in a week when the boss was due back in to see if there is any info he can dig up.
Is there anyone out there that can help me with this?
Any info is very much appreciated. I look forward to contributing and being apart of this community
Jay
