Gene Hackman is gone

Hackman was found dead at his home, alongside his wife and dog. No foul play is suspected and people are speculating carbon monoxide poisoning may be the cause, which actually makes a lot of sense. He was 95, so he had a long life. Great actor.

Great actor !  he will be missed.  Santa Fe  NM can get a little,  chilly carbon monoxide could very well be a cause especially the wife and dog also died.  they will find out for sure and it will be on the news

His dog being dead makes me agree on the carbon monoxide cause. I just watched "Unforgiven" yesterday. Yup,great actor! "Aboslute Power" for tonight!

He made every role memorable. Even with some not so great films his performance was a standout. I especially liked "Popeye Doyle".

He was a great one.
On the Tonight Show he was asked why he joined the Marines when he was 16 years old. He said he did it for the women.

Official reports indicate no foul play.




I heard today that the fire dept couldn't find any signs of carbon monoxide poisoning.I doubt that any tox screening tests are back to the coroner yet either.

I read that the door had been opened possibly disapating any gas. He was trying to get out of the house apparently.

RIP, he was a great actor, and played a real bad guy. !  Seems like carbon monoxide could the cause of death, but strange that the other dog survived.
