Weatherby Mk V Backcountry Midnight - scoped finally

Weatherby Mk V Backcountry Midnight - scoped finally

Well…I’ve been procrastinating for quite a while, but I FINALLY got a scope mounted on my Weatherby Mark V Backcountry Midnight 6.5 RPM. I mounted a Leupold VX3HD 4.5-14x40mm with a CDS turret.

I’m looking at this rifle as a lightweight, all-around rifle for antelope, deer, and maybe elk.

I haven’t sighted in yet, but I was wondering what ammunition or hand loads people were having success with? My preference is to use 140 grain bullets with this rifle, but you never know what shoots well until you try some ammunition.

Thanks in advance!
JK

Good choice on the scope. I'll bet it's a joy to tote. Keep us posted.
