O3mossy, I think it is A 1 in 12 twist, you can check it by using a barrel brush. Insert it all the way down to the magazine then reverse it to where your just past the free bore, mark the rod at the tip of the barrel in A "T" shape,  then slowly pull it out until it makes one complete revolution then measure back to the tip of the barrel from the cross mark on the rod. It will be either A 1 in 10 or A 1 in 12. Do this A couple of extra time's just to double check yourself. Let us know as it make's makes A difference on what loads to give you.

thanks for the reply, unfortunately there is no way to check it at this time as it is at my gunsmith getting glass bedded in its new stock.

03mossie, I just looked at an Early FN Mauser action this morning at the pawn shop. we checked it and it was A 1 in 12 twist. this gun was built in 1953 in California. It to is A 300 Weatherby right hand action set up for A left hand shooter. I'm thinking about getting it just for the collection. This has diamond inlay's on the stock and forearm. Good looking old gun...Hope this helped...Jerry
