as yet i haven't been to the range waiting for my mate to return from holidays then when i get the results i'll defently post them on here. But i thort Howa use the Houge stocks and from the write ups i seen thort they were good quality. I'm defently no expert as i am new to shooting only just aquired my guns. And looking at guidance from the ones who shoot weatherbys. Its a beautiful rifle and feels solid and firm.

Bring this back to life.  Been looking for a 257 for a while and found one a cabelas last month. Vanguard with the 26"ss barrel.  Had the barrel and action and scope duracoated OD green and the stone coated the stock.  Just shot it the first time this weekend and love this gun.  It has made the travel team for sure this year.     Any one shot the hornady 90gr gilded bullet at texas sized white tails?

My buddy played with the GMX in a 243 and didn't care for the groups and expansion, he swapped to Barnes and loves them.  I think that if your going lead free Barnes are the way to go i like lead bullets so until law says so I am using them.

This Vanguard .270 Win was my first sstl rifle and I'm amazed at how slick the action is. It's also crazy accurate, shooting 1" groups at 100y and 2" groups at 300y and 3" groups at 425y. Just an amazing rifle.

You do have the three position safety? correct??

All the way to the rear, bolt won't open AND trigger won't (fire)

Middle position - trigger won't fire BUT you can operate the bolt to unload (while safe) if you want

Fully forward, she will fire and the bolt will operate...
