Sadly I own just one Weatherby rifle, but it is the rifle of my dreams, so life is good. It is a .340 Mark V, stainless/synthetic, topped off with a Leupold long range target scope.

- Mk5 Deluxe 7mmwbymag
- Vanguard Sporter 257wbymag

Those are the two I currently own. I will be adding a Euromark in 375Wby or H&H in the near future and I would also like a mk5 deluxe in 340Wby. Images are in my trophy room.

Jim, why would you "sadly" owning one is owning rifle happiness. Do you use that huge scope for hunting as well ?

I said sadly, as in I wished I had more than one Weatherby, but happily the one I own is the one I wanted most!

Yes, I do use this rifle and scope for my hunting as well as my target shooting. The scope is not ideal for hunting because of its high magnification, but it is superb for shooting at my long range targets. I would like very much to purchase another Weatherby for when I plan to shoot less than 500 yards, and I would top that off with a more practical hunting scope.

Sad to say (I understand you, Jim) I can report only two Weatherbys; my 'go-to' rifle: a Vanguard Sporter in .243, and my 'toy': the XXII.  I do dearly love the Vanguard, but when you consider how often you shoot your centerfire vs. how often you shoot the .22, there's only choice: Buy the XXII!
However, I'm on board for the proposed Weatherby Nation Special, in, I hope, .240 Mag.  ;D

Only one for me as well.  I honestly thought (at the time) that Weatherby was high end and beyond my reach.  I walked out of Cabelas with a Vanguard SS Sporter in 30.06 for $520...  High end... you betcha!! Out of my reach, Nah.
Right now i'm saving for a Vanguard sporter in .243 and a Mark V sporter in .270 Wby... of course, if the right WBNation rifles comes along in the meantime, its a done deal.

Have two vangaurd synthetics the first a 300 win mag i got when i traded my browning 06 for something with smoother recoil the gun shop suggested i try the 300 and its recoil is so smooth its unbelievable and it was so well built etc etc that when my son wanted a new rifle i bought him 243 win vangaurd which he loves.
