What is everyones experience with the factory supplied target vs. how your gun actually shoots? The 2 Vanguards I have both beat the factory target. My deluxe beat it by quite a bit. Just curious how others were doing. Please comment.

I own a Vanguard VGX in .270 Winchester which came with a factory target.  My groups are better than the ones on the factory target.  Unfortunately my other Weatherbys are Mark Vs and an Accumark which didn't come with factory targets.  I would like to see all Weatherbys come with the factory targets to see what they shot at the factory.  When I bought my Vanguard I went throught all of them and settled on the one with the nicest wood and best factory target.
Nothing is better than a Weatherby, big bore magnum, or a Colt.

Every Weatherby I've owned grouped as good but most were better than the factory target.  I wonder why Weatherby stopped including a test target with the Mark V?

FYI:  The Weatherby's that are shot for test on targets must meet the 1 1/2 inch guarantee.  The person doing the shooting cares not one iota what the rifle is capable of, only that its meets the minimum specified group size.  The shooter must quickly test 200 rifles or more, before they are shipped.  Speed is required!
I always laugh when I see buyers going through new boxes to find the smallest test target to select the rifle they want to buy, since the target has no relationship to the potential accuracy of the rifle.
