I wouldnt forget trusty old Midway. I flat out just made a decision today after calling my trusty local dealer. Gonna get my scope for my .257 from them, that way I can do layby and do it in a couple payments. Just couldnt change my brand, had to go with a Leupold Mark 4 4.5-14X40. Thanks for all the replies guys.

Support the local business if you can, we need them.  I buy on line a lot and have never had a problem with the big guys  with returns for refunds, exchanges or credit.  It's price, shipping cost, return policy and speed of shipment that matters to me.  Everything else depends on the manufacturers warranty.  I buy by brand, Weatherby because I trust them?
And others because I trust them.  Good shopping!

Copycat ;D

You won't regret it.

I'm ordering another one for my .257 wby. Got SUB-MOA with Weatherby 100g spire point junk first time out today and with that clear as fog 3-9x44mm Weatherby scope.

What are you using for bases/rings cause my dealer didn't find any Leupold QRW/PRW bases and I HATE dovetail bases!! I'll spend $300 for Mark 4 bases and rings before I get a set of dovetail bases.

Checking Warne and Talley tomorrow.

Corey I was eyeballing this scope for awhile but I really like M1 dials, for the price I'll have to give this a try. I have a grand in my VX3 4.5-14 LR that I had M1 dials installed on, 750 is a little better. Should make a good setup for that .257.  :P

Ballistic : Can't help you on the "where to buy", but I can vouch for the Viper. I have a $500.00 Viper on my .300 wm and a $1100.00 Bushnell E6500 on my .257 Wby. (Canucks always get screwed in the pocket book). At the range I have to admit, I prefer my Viper. The cross hairs on my Bushnell are too thick for fine aiming. The Viper is every bit as clear optics wise and much finer cross hairs for fine shot placement. In the field either one is alright. I have yet to see a deer with a dot painted on its chest. Good luck.

Just found some Warne bases on Midway and I can get the PRW rings locally. My local dealer was having a hard time finding Mark V bases for the Leupold PRW weaver rings through his distributor.

Now I'm set..... besides the actual scope purchase that is. I just dropped a load on Midway for .257 reloading supplies :-\
