Vortex has the best price performance ratio in the business (personal opion). That said, start with the Diamondbacks not the Crossfire. The Viper is my top pick in the Vortex lineup but they are expensive compaired with either the Crossfire or the Diamondbacks.

My really upscale bino's choice is the new Lecia Trinovids. Just plain outstanding glass @1500 bucks. Both eyes have diopter adjustment. The glass/lens coatings are exceptional. And the price is less than Swaro's @ equal to and or better quality, but everyones eyes are different

I'd look for a pair of used Vipers, even if they are messed up the warrantee is transferable with no proof of purchase.

Those come with a lifetime warranty and their clarity is on par with or better than anything in their price range.  If that's what you can afford, go for it.

If you're looking for a great deal on decent binos, check this out:

I've not looked through or handled these, but I've heard good things about the Diamondback line, and the warranty is excellent. For $99, you aren't taking much risk, comparatively. If they're not a good match for your eyes, you can probably sell them for $80-100 and walk away. It's worth a try, IMO. I am thinking about picking up a pair for myself as a backup/truck pair. You just can't have too many pairs of binos.
