Weatherby Mark IV?

Is this a valid model?  There’s a guy on another board selling a “Weatherby 300 magnum mark lV deluxe left handed” rifle.  I’m not a leftie but my good friend is, and he’s been looking for a rifle like this.

Please advise, does the seller know what he has?

There is no such model as a Weatherby Mark1v there is a Mark v

No, not that I'm aware, but I believe it could also be a typo by the seller.    I'd say go for it if your friend likes it, and also it depends on how much he is asking, and conditions of the rifle. Good luck and let us know if your friend buys it. Post pictures if you can.

i'm with them sounds like a typo - depends on the deal what type of mark V is it?

check Gunbroker several LH versions in 300wby you can shop and compare. Biggest issue with used guns are were they taken care of or "shot out"? Ask for pics of the barrel end and bolt face is an indication of use. I've been fortunate to have made good deals on unprotected sites, but i also know folks that get burned. It's a buyer be ware sometimes if it appears to be too good of a deal there's a reason;
