My  Haitian U S congress woman has been indicted for stealing disaster funds of $5 million. She apparently funded her campaign with the money.

Standard acceptable behavior for 3rd world countries and Haiti is as 3rd world as you can get - she undoubtedly floated over on a fishing boat. What gets me is why the hell don't people have to be born here to be elected to a public office like congress.
Come and take it.

I agree 100% with this.   However, there are some outstanding citizens serving in politics who care about our country.  But too many take for granted what this great nation offers and want to change things to the same sh*t hole they left.  I can name Ilham Oman from Minnesota, Minnesota State Senator Omar Fateh, then we have AOC and Mamdami from NY.  But, politics have become so corrupted, and nothing gets done to them, that they'll continue to do stuff like this because they know they'll end up with a slap on the hand and be good.

One who got hammered is the NJ Bob Menendez and his wife were indicted for corruption.

Hopefully, more will follow.

The 20th congressional district that I live in is sliver shaped area that was designed to elect a minority. Our previous cngressman was Alcee Hastings. He was removed as a federal judge for taking bribes. He ran and was elected when he knew he was dying of cancer. If this woman is removed, the district will elect her twin. It is 85 some percent democrats.

Will your governor be able to appoint a Republican/conservative replacement until the next election, maybe you? It sounds like you may be the only conservative in your district. Doesn't that make you the smallest, therefore most deserving, minority in your "sliver" of a district?

The governor can only call for a special election. That is how this woman was elelcted to finish the late Alcee Hasting's term and then to be elected since. Typical Republican candidates get 5-6% of the vote in this district.

Her twin will be the replacement. If the new version has a "D", it will get elected.

My U S born Cuban friend ran for town council twice and lost badly both times. The Mayor is a Haitian. Code enforcement was at my friend's house several times. He is moving out.  He is retired U S Army.

All you have to do is look at who is electing these idiots.  The majority of who lives is your area are Haitians, so they are going to elect one of their because they think she'll take care of them.  The same mentality and corruption they had in Haiti, and why that country has gone to sh*t.
