Scope recommendations for CFP Mark V 22-250

Recently acquired a NIB CFP Mark V 22-250.  Looking for suggestions for scope/mount for bench shooting 100-300 yards.

You can't go wrong with Talley mounts, that is what most of used on our Mark Vs.  I am very happy with them, no complaints from my end.

BTW, welcome to the Nation, a lot of knowledgeable  individuals here.

Thanks for the Talley, recommendation.  I have several sets of Talleys on rifles, so I will probably go with them on the FCP as well.

I really need a good recommendation for a scope for the CFP.  I have no experience with pistol shooting and wonder about EER vs a regular rifle scope, and what other CFP's owners are using.

BTW, awesome Kudu!

Welcome.
I would look at the Leupold vx3 2.5-8x32.
If you will be shooting at those distances this variable scope range would serve you better than a fixed 2.5 or 4 power.
If you are arguing with an idiot and someone passes by, they don't know who's the idiot.

I have several pistols with different brand scopes. The Burris 3-12x32 is my favorite .

Terminator:
The Leupoldt vx3 2.5-8x32 is a bit shorter and lighter than the Burris 3-12x32, but the Burris has longer eye relief.  Is that why you prefer the Burris?

Dave:I have the Leoupold also. The eye relief of the Burris is better and I think it is clearer also. They both work well though and have held up great. The Leupold is on a 454 Casull and the Burris is on a 45LC.

I also recommend the Burris scopes. I own two Burris scopes both are 2x7x32mm. One is on a 223 T/C with 14" barrel and the other on a 44mag with 10" barrel. The glass is very clear and provides sharp images in low light, and the LER helps to steady your aim with good arm extension. I've only shot out to 100yards with both pistols, although the 223 is capable of more than that and I'm sighted in at 1" high at 100. If I were going to shoot out to 300 yards, I would need the Burris 3x12x32. To me a few inches, and a few more ounces wouldn't make any difference as a good scoped shoulder holster would be used for carry and you'll always need a good steady rest when you shoot at game, especially at those distances. I had a 2-8 weaver on a .308 TC encore pistol. I generally shot best with it on about 3.75. Past that I had harder time centering the crosshairs. Really clear glass and gathered light really well. I think I ordered it from Natchez.

I've replaced all of my bases with rails. I had an old 1" scope with the Talley ring/base on a Vanguard tghat I wanted to replace with a 30 mm scope. I ended up having to take it to my gunsmith to remove the Talley trash. Seems that in their ultimate wisdom they decided to drill a hole directly down the center of the bases and use the smallest heads on their screws. I got 3 of the 4 screws out but the last one stripped (very soft metal in those screws) and there was no way to get it out of that center hole. He had to grind the mount off! I took the parts to the range and passed it around. Quite a few of the guys thanked me for the heads up. I switch scopes quite often (upgrades mostly) so I find that a good rail makes life so much easier. Looking back it was my fault. As soon as I saw that deep hole in that base I should have thrown it out or sent it back. Live and learn.

As far as the scopes, I also recommend Burris for the money.
